This year, Spiżarnia is celebrating its 20th birthday.
The company started in 2005, when two friends, Karol Wroński and Dariusz Jeleniewski, took Polish products to the UK. That was the beginning of Spiżarnia’s interesting story. At first, they collected orders themselves by visiting shops one by one. They mainly offered products that didn’t need refrigeration, which they first transported using a small trailer, and later in their first company van. Over time, they rented a refrigerated trailer, which became their first temporary warehouse.
Every year, more and more Polish grocery stores opened in the UK. To meet the growing demand, Spiżarnia opened three cross-dock warehouses in England and one in Ireland. In 2016, the company started deliveries to stores in the Netherlands, which were growing just as fast. Reaching more countries in Western Europe, where many Polish people live, was only a matter of time.

Over the years, thanks to the trust and loyalty of its customers, Spiżarnia has become one of the leading distributors of Polish food products abroad – in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Germany. Thanks to its branch in Gdynia, the company also serves customers in the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Spiżarnia has a modern distribution center in Lublin, which offers over 13,000 different products and ensures fast deliveries.
